Itinerary

Early in the morning, at 6:30, drive to St Catherine, about 2 hours away, to the oldest well-preserved monastery, which lies between Moses Mountain and St Catherine. St Catherine’s Monastery, officially the “Sacred Monastery of the God-Trodden Mount Sinai,” is controlled by the autonomous Church of Sinai, part of the wider Greek Orthodox Church, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was built between 548 and 565. The site contains the world’s oldest continually operating library. Then start your adventure by hiking and walking inside the great Colored Canyon, which is 800 meters long, 400 meters high and more than 1 meter wide. Enjoy the beautiful colors of the sandstone rock formations. After finishing, return to Sharm El Sheikh.
