Itinerary

Early in the morning, at 6:30, drive to St Catherine, about 2 hours away, to the oldest well-preserved monastery, which lies between Moses Mountain and St Catherine. St Catherine’s Monastery, officially the “Sacred Monastery of the God-Trodden Mount Sinai,” is controlled by the autonomous Church of Sinai, part of the wider Greek Orthodox Church, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was built between 548 and 565. The site contains the world’s oldest continually operating library. After finishing, drive to Dahab to start your adventure with a camel ride to the Blue Hole location. Enjoy one of the best snorkeling experiences in the world, then have lunch at a good-quality local restaurant. Then drive back to Sharm El Sheikh.
