Itinerary

Welcome to the land of legends, Egypt. On time, due to the cruise ship arrival schedule, you will find the Egypt Tours Booking representative waiting for you in front of the El Sokhna Port gate, holding our company sign with your name. To start your tour, drive to Cairo, the capital of Egypt.

Start with the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), also known as the Giza Museum, a major archaeological museum close to the Pyramids of Giza. Its Tutankhamun galleries display the treasures of the young king, whose tomb was found by Howard Carter in 1922 in the Valley of the Kings.

Then drive to Old Cairo, or Coptic Cairo, which includes the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, the Greek Church of St. George and many other Coptic churches. According to Christian tradition, the Holy Family visited this area and stayed at the site of the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus (Abu Serga).

Then drive to the Cairo Citadel, built between 1176 and 1183 by Saladin to protect Cairo from the Crusaders. Between 1828 and 1848, Muhammad Ali built the Muhammad Ali Alabaster Mosque on the summit of the Citadel. After that, have your lunch at a good-quality local restaurant.

Then drive to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a major souk in the historic center of Islamic Cairo. After finishing, return to El Sokhna Port, according to the cruise ship schedule.
