Itinerary

Early in the morning, at around 7 o'clock, our expert tour guide will pick you up to start your tour experience. Drive to El Fayoum province, which is located 95 km southeast of Cairo. Start your trip by visiting Wadi El Rayan, which is a nature preserve. It consists of the Wadi El Rayan depression and the Valley of the Whales. The Wadi El Rayan depression has two salt lakes formed by agricultural drainage water in 1970. The two lakes are connected by amazing, beautiful waterfalls.

Then drive to Wadi El Hitan, or the Valley of the Whales, which is located 90 km east of El Fayoum. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2005 for its hundreds of fossils of some of the earliest forms of whale. The site reveals evidence that helps explain one of the greatest mysteries of the evolution of whales.

After that, drive to Mudawara Mountain, which is located next to the lower lake.

Drive to Madinet Madi, which has the ruins of the best-preserved temple belonging to the Middle Kingdom, built by Amenemhat III and IV. On the way to Lake Qarun, stop to have your lunch in Tunis Village, which is famous for its amazing handcrafted pottery. In the 1980s, Evelyne Porret, a potter from Switzerland, moved to Tunis Village, built a house with a pottery studio and trained many local children in the craft of pottery. After 30 years, Tunis Village in El Fayoum is now the most famous handcrafted pottery center in the world, with its own handmade pottery festival. In the afternoon, enjoy walking next to Lake Qarun.

In the morning after breakfast, enjoy a horse or camel ride next to Lake Qarun. Then get ready to board your private surfing boat and navigate while enjoying the amazing nature around you. Then return to Tunis Village, visit some of the handicraft pottery workshops, and have your lunch.

Finally, drive back to Cairo.
