Itinerary

At the time we mentioned, our expert tour guide will pick you up to start your tour experience.

Start your tour by driving to Aswan, which is located 180 km south of Luxor. Once you arrive, you will visit Philae Temple, which is now located at a new location on Agilkia Island. It was moved from Philae Island to the new location as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, protecting this and other complexes before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam.
Philae Temple was dedicated to Isis and also has a shrine to Hathor. The great temple was built by Ptolemy Philadelphus II over the ruins of the old temples built by Nectanebo I. Once you finish, you will take a motorboat to the Nubian Village, where you will be hosted in one of the local Nubian houses. Try the Nubian food and enjoy the cheerfully colored houses, which give a positive energy. Then cross the River Nile and drive to your hotel for the overnight in Aswan.

Early in the morning, at around 3:30 AM, drive to Abu Simbel Temple, which is located 230 km away, about 3 hours by car.
Start by visiting the Abu Simbel twin temples, which were originally carved out of the mountainside in the 13th century BC during the reign of the Pharaoh Ramesses II of the 19th dynasty. They serve as a lasting monument to the king and his queen Nefertari. They were submerged under the water of Lake Nasser after the High Dam was built, so UNESCO cooperated with the Egyptian government to move them to an artificial hill.
This temple, known as the Temple of Ramesses, beloved of Amun, is dedicated to Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re and to Ramesses II himself. The small temple of Nefertari is called the Temple of Hathor.
After finishing, on the way to Aswan, stop to visit the High Dam, which was built between 1960 and 1970. It is 111 meters high.
Then you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, which is the largest known ancient obelisk and is located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt in Aswan, Egypt.
Finally, have your lunch at a good-quality local restaurant, then drive back to Luxor.
