Itinerary

Set off from Aswan and travel south towards the legendary temples of Abu Simbel, built during Ramses II’s reign in the 19th dynasty. These grand structures display both immense scale and masterful artistry, with the Great Temple dedicated to Ramses II alongside Ptah, Re-Horakhty, and Amun-Re, and the smaller temple honoring Queen Nefertari and the goddess Hathor. Marvel at the astonishing feat of engineering that saved these temples from flooding through the UNESCO-led relocation project. The temples’ famous solar phenomenon, when sunlight illuminates the sanctuary statues on specific days each year, underscores their architectural brilliance. Capture stunning moments, immerse yourself in the tales of ancient Egypt, and let your expert guide enrich your understanding before returning to Aswan with a new appreciation for these extraordinary monuments.
